Benchtop Starting and Charging Trainer by Megatech is designed to incorporate live actual components, providing “real world” electrical measurement values. By using a “friction” load device to show current draw on the starter, and pin out connections on the alternator, students are able to use real world values and equipment to develop the proper skill set for diagnosing the cranking/charging system. The unit allows easy applied voltage drop concepts to be shown without physical limitations of engine compartment, while being very portable and usable in a classroom environment.
