Overview

The Certified Forklift Technician (CFT) is a nationally portable, industry-led, hands-on training and assessment certification program developed through a partnership between the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) and the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA). The CFT certification prepares individuals with in-demand skills to maintain, service, and repair forklift trucks. CFT is delivered and customized locally through MSSC’s network of over 1600 training and assessment centers and forklift truck dealers nationally.

Learning Outcomes

The Certified Forklift Technician program includes curriculum to prepare individuals for technician-level roles working with forklifts. The curriculum covers all the technologies and competencies that will be assessed in the certification exam, including:
