Learning Outcomes

The FreeRange XR is behavior-based learning in a safe experience. While most industrial safety training is delivered through presentations, this VR industrial safety training package actually walks learners through the proper steps to safely execute tasks, then tests their skills in a realistic scenario with data-driven results.

There are four modules that come in the Industrial Safety training package:

1. AED: Learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) to respond during cardiac arrest, extending the opportunity for successful resuscitation
   1. Recognize sudden cardiac arrest and call for help
   2. Work closely with someone performing CPR
   3. Provide defibrillation with AED until help arrives
2. CPR: Learn how to administer CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) – an emergency lifesaving procedures performed when the heart stops beating
   1. Perform initial protocols and check for breathing
   2. Send someone for help and ask them to call 911
   3. Perform compressions with proper technique
3. Fire Suppression: Learn the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire suppression using the PASS system
   1. Understand the basics of fire extinguisher use
   2. Experience an incipient stage workplace fire scenario
   3. Extinguish different types of common workplace fires
4. Virus Vision: Learn how to prevent the transmission of germs in the workplace through proper infection prevention protocols
   1. Visualize transmission of germs via air and surfaces
   2. Recognize potential sources of infection transmission vectors
   3. Keep productivity losses low by preventing infections

Work Safety VR Training Details

The WorkSafety training package uses a virtual reality headset and hand controls, along with the FreeRange XR software, to deliver the training to learners. You can purchase the entire hardware + software package, or purchase the software alone with a compatible VR headset you already own.

• Voice-guided training sessions that walk a learner through the proper procedures for industrial safety situations
• Unguided scenarios that assess a learner’s understanding of the correct procedures
• Ability to cast the headset to a monitor so an instructor can watch and assess a learner’s performance
• Skills measurement and graded performance tools
