Basic Precision Measurement Kit

Basic Precision Measurement Kit by DAC Worldwide (803-101) covers valuable industrial quality assurance skills using precision rules, dial calipers, micrometers, and other common precision measurement tools and instruments. Learners will use locally-available precision measurement tools to practice fundamental measurement techniques and tools used in industry.

Learning Outcomes

With the Basic Precision Measurement Kit learners will use a tool plate to measure slots, counter bores, multiple stepped-holes, and surface offsets. Learners will complete tasks such as using outside micrometers, dial calipers, and rules to perform over 15 measurements.

Product Details

This Kit requires the 803-001 Tool Kit.  The Basic Precision Measurement Kit includes:

• Durable, foam-lined, hinged, clear plastic, storage case, 8-1/2″ X 11-1/2″ X 2″ H.
• Precision-machined, 4″ X 6″ X 3/4″, rectangular aluminum, tooling plate sample including provision for measurement of slots, counter-bores, multiple stepped-holes, and surface offsets.
• Precision-machined, 3″ X 4″ X 3/4″, rectangular aluminum, stepped, measuring block, allowing for over 15 individual measurements using dial calipers, rules, and outside micrometers.
• Precision-machined cylindrical aluminum sample turning, including provision for multiple length measurements, 6 internal and external cylindrical measurements, and multiple bore depth measurements.
• 2 7-Piece, precision-ground cylindrical steel sample assortment including provision for measurement using a micrometer and identification of stock using a decimal equivalents chart.
• Reference drawing set with provision for noting student measurements, for evaluation.
