Learning Outcomes

Through hands-on practice with augmented reality simulations and live welding exercises, learners will develop expertise in a variety of welding techniques and processes. The system provides immediate feedback and detailed performance analytics helping students build the the confidence, precision and technical skills they need to be a great welder. Using this welding trainer learns will:

• Gain practical experience in MIG (GMAW), flux-cored (FCAW-G), and Stick (SMAW) welding processes.
• Learn to weld various joint types, including:
  • T-joint
  • Butt joint (square groove)
  • Lap joint
  • Single V-groove
  • Single-bevel groove
• Improve work and travel angles, contact tip-to-work distances, and speed control using real-time and post-weld feedback.
• Practice out-of-position welding to simulate challenging real-world scenarios.
• Understand the importance of welding safety and learn techniques for achieving high-quality welds with minimal defects.

Curriculum
